I Want To Like This: Podcast #47, “War of the Stars” and stuff.

This week Thomas and Jerry took time out of their schedules to watch, the Man Behind the Mask’s fanedit of Star Wars: A New Hope, The War of the Stars: A New Hope Grindhoused . This recut of old vhs footage before the special additions is layered with deleted scenes, new effects made by the editor, and lines of dialog by Mr. Jones from other works all put together with  a bad cinema aesthetic, has a delightful sense of humor that makes an old classic fun and new. But, hear it from the guys themselves on this episode!

You can watch The War of the Stars: A New Hope Grindhoused here!

I Want To Like This: Podcast #42, “West World” with Martin “Littlekuriboh” Billany

Martin “Littlekuriboh” Billany joins Thomas on the podcast today via Skype! Martin is a10959503_771787739565485_4120376682509156419_n Britist voice actor who started his career making a youtube parady series of the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! He has since on his channel created content commenting on entertainment, one of which is “The Mark Remark” a youtube show about professional wrestling. Prowrestling and anime? It is easy to see why Martin and Thomas get along. Martin is a lver of great storytelling so it makes sense that he would want to watch and discuss the HBO Drama “West World”. The Sci-fi western series has received a lot of praise since its debute, and Martin agrees with a lot of it. He also has somethings he thinks it lacks, which makes this a conversation and not just an hour of praising something.

If you would like more of Martin you should check him out on TWITTER, his YOUTUBE, or at TeamFourStar! Or if you are looking to employ the talents of Martin Billany, find booking info HERE.

DISCLAIMER!: Again, this was recorded over Skype and there were a couple of network issues. But overall, this was a fun first step to being able to reach out to more guests from areas outside my small corner of the world.

I Want To Like This: Podcast #41, “Zombies? Romero or The Walking Dead?” with Alexandra Arns

This podcast is a contrast to last week, with no crunch for time three friends who do not get to catch up all that often got rambly and had fun. The backbone of this conversation though, is that our guest Alexandra Arns wanted to discuss the two biggest Zombie franchizes in the world. This is made fun by her fandom, and Jerry and Thomas’s lack of knowledge. That and aforementioned meandering.

Find more of Miss Arns on Twitter and Facebook.

I Want To Like This: Podcast #40, “Pacific Rim” with Nick Sharp

This weekes podcast sees the return of Nick Sharp; comedian, podcaster, and nerd. Nick is here to talk to Thomas about the 2013 masterpiece that is “Pacific Rim”. Which unlike Nick’s experience with the film adaption of “Dragon Ball” (which you can listen to here) he really likes. But what is not to like? Great cast, fun action, Guillermo del Toro’s flare for creative monsters, clever giant robot designs, and like all of Mr. del Toro’s films a nice bit of humor. It is easy to see that while this film is not an academy darling it is easily a lot of fun. And we thank Nick for spare what little time he could to make this abridged episode happen.

If you would like to find more of Nick Sharp, check out his One Sharp Podcast, or find him on Twitter!

I Want To Like This: Podcast #36, “Doctor Strange”

Hello, new episode and new(ish) format! In an ever present effort to be more posative, in an increasingly negative world, we will now start episodes talking about stuff we are excited for! Will these things become fodder for future episodes? WHO KNOWS! The main topic of conversation on this episode is Marvel’s “Doctor Strange”. This 2016 film was a lot of fun, but had the potential to really shake up the MCU.

Hear Thomas and Jerry discuss how they enjoyed the film, but still want more from their superheroics and enjoy this episode.

I Want To Like This: Podcast 35, Season 2 “The Opening”

Welcome, we decided a month ago to just label the first 34 episodes of the podcast season 1. So now we debute season 2, with the absolute nonsense that is Thomas and Jerry just talking about where they are and what they have been doing. This is a jump start to get the boys working again! So prepare for more as the podcast grows!
